There are many neat scenes and we even have one person, who is considered crazy by the town, that knows the truth. One of the coolest scenes is when we see “The Creeper” standing on top of the police car that is following Darry and Trish as they drive. They are dealing with some sort of demon that can fly and that vehicle surfs like Michael J.

Darry actually climbs into the pipe, slips down and ends up in the basement of the church, where he sees all sorts of bodies, strung up on the walls. They walk over to the pipe where the bodies were being tossed, but they have to be sure. There were no pictures of Harrison Ford hanging in the killer’s bedroom.ĭarry and Trish pull a typical horror movie move and investigate the home of this killer. The producers didn’t go that route though. As they drive by, they catch the notice of the evil Indiana Jones guy, and now he’s back in his truck and wants to really hurt them.ĭarry (Justin Long) and his hot sister, Trish (Gina Philips) are now being hunted by what they believe to be a crazy guy, perhaps with an Indiana Jones fetish. The movie begins with a “Night of the Living Dead” feel with the 1950s car and the long and winding roads, and the film immediately takes off. I heard from locals that it's tourist spot, many people come from all over and take photos.A brother-sister combo on a road trip suddenly encounter a huge truck that begins trying to run them off the road, apparently. The church does look like it's reconstructed over the years but it still looks pretty creepy! There is a gas station that was recently built near the location. Then again.that's just me, clearly! Anyhow, so, they do check it out and it leads them in to turmoil of insane, deadly trouble with the Creeper! If I was there I would have NEVER checked it out. Derry (Justin Long) convinces his older sister, Trish (Gina Phillips), that they HAVE to investigate! WHY?!! And of course, they do because there would be no movie if they didn't.

Later on, they see that same driver disposing what looks like a human body down a drainpipe near an old church. Along the way a weird truck tries to run them off the road. They're driving back home on this long, endless, isolated back road to visit their mother. I looked on IMDb and below are the filming locations.įor those of you have never seen Jeepers Creepers, it's about a brother and sister whose on their college spring break. Many people say that the old church was filmed in Dunnellon, FL near a high school but once again no one is exactly sure. There are rumors that the church burned down a couple of years ago but I can't find sources that are 100% sure. It's in Mount Dora, FL on 441 going towards Orlando. So, I had the opportunity to see what I think is one of the filming locations! I believe it's the old church where the Creeper dumped the bodies down the pipe hole and the church was near. Honestly, I found myself getting EXTREMELY aggravated with one of the main characters! However, I thought it was a very creepy film with wonderful natural cinematography. I wasn't a huge fan of the first Jeepers Creepers.
